  1. This looks like a very good show. I have to say with a heavy heart that I'm not so crazy about that Tender Trap song. I still like it because I adore Amelia so much, but it's not my favorite…

There was a pretty good single that came out last year on the Fortuna Pop label called "Fireworks." Although I remember reading an interview Amelia a few years back where she said she wanted forthcoming Tender Trap to sound like the Shop Assistants (so maybe the result would be a bit Talulah Gosh esque?!) Not sure if that will happen at this point, but I suppose none of that really matters. Amelia Fletcher is one of the most underrated female musicians ever, and Heavenly produced some of the world's most brilliant pop songs so I guess the bottom line is anytime a related project shows up on anyone's playlist it's a cause for celebration. Amen.

    1. Heavenly was a brilliant group, and Amelia has a great quality to her. Similar to Rose Melberg, who put out a perfectly fine record on K last year though it pales in comparison to Tiger Trap and early Softies, I'd listen to just about anything that has her voice.

      1. yeah, i liked that rose melberg record quite a bit though i didn't listen to it as much as i imagined that i would. i actually liked her solo record from a few years prior called "cast away the clouds" a bit more. i can't remember what label that one was on, and it was a similar feel to the one on k just some of the songs were a bit stronger to my mind. that of course could have (and very likely did) have more to do with where i was in my life when that one came out.

i'm also beyond excited that go sailor are playing that slumberland anniversary show this sunday at the echo!
